About

Grounded in operations, shaped by the outdoors.

I started JP Consulting to help small and growing businesses do what they do best, without getting buried in the back-end.

Before consulting, I spent over 10 years in San Francisco building and scaling operations at fast-growing tech companies. That experience taught me how to build systems that actually hold up as a business grows  and I’ve been bringing that same approach to the travel industry for the past 2.5 years.

My first travel client came on at $2.5M in annual sales and is now well past $12M. The difference between where they started and where they are today comes down to having the right operations in place at the right time.

I bring a hands-on, no-fluff approach. I get in, learn your business, and build the kind of infrastructure that makes your day-to-day easier, so you can spend less time on admin and more time on the work that matters.

If you’re ready to stop duct-taping your processes and build something that works, I’d love to help.

How I work

A few principles.

Systems, not heroics.

The goal is a business that runs well when I'm not in the room and when you're not either.

Rigor without rigidity.

Documented processes should serve the people using them. If a system creates more work than it removes, it's the wrong system.

Numbers are the honest part.

Every recommendation gets tied back to revenue, retention, margin, or time saved. Vibes are welcome, but they don't drive decisions alone.

Small teams, real intention.

Startups don't need enterprise processes. They need a handful of well-chosen ones, deployed at the right moment.

Off the clock

Happiest in the mountains.

When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me hiking with my dog Mozzie, riding at the local bike park, or exploring backcountry trails on two wheels. Gravel, mountain biking, and e-MTB are all part of the regular rotation.

Travel and volunteering are core to who I am. I love exploring Europe by bike, always on the lookout for hidden gems off the beaten path. And with a background as a veterinary technician, I still volunteer at local shelters and vet hospitals. Humane education and animal welfare are close to my heart.
